Born in Edinburgh, Helen studied Ceramics at Grays School of Art in Aberdeen, specialising in Sculptural and Architectural Ceramics. She gained further experience as an Architectural Model Maker and Architects Assistant in Glasgow before completing many Public Art commissions and Community and School Art Projects in Glenrothes and working as an Arts Co-ordinator and Community Artist in the West Highlands of Scotland. Helens Ceramics practice has continued throughout and she now receives much of her inspiration for her ceramic tiles, sculptures and mosaic work from the beautiful sky, sea, landscapes and wildlife in Lochaber where she lives with her husband and daughter.
