Ceramic Sculpture and Public Art
Since specialising in sculptural and architectural ceramics at art college, this interest has developed with many private and public commissions being created throughout the UK. Further experience working with mosaic led to site specific public art commissions plus unique ceramic sculptures for individual commissions.
Previous public art work has included outdoor mosaics for Cleveland Arts in Middlesbrough and the Glenrothes Development Corporation, painted and ceramic murals in Glenrothes and a clay and fibreglass sculpture in the Wellcome Trust headquarters in London. Other work includes a series of sea creature ceramic sculptures for the community wing of the Fort William Medical Centre and a great northern diver raku sculpture commission for Sgoile Ath Tharracail Acharacle Primary School.
Recently completed is a large mosaic for the Falls of Shin commissioned by the Highland Council, Forestry Commission Scotland and the Falls of Shin Visitor Centre.
